Seafood Cooking Tips
Blackgill Rockfish is a great “all-rounder”:
- Sauté – Pan-sear fillets and finish with butter, lemon, and herbs.
- Bake – Roast with olive oil, garlic, and seasonal vegetables.
- Grill – Cook fillets or thick portions over medium-high heat until just opaque.
- In stews – Its firm flakes make it ideal for bouillabaisse and other fish stews.
Avoid overcooking; pull the fish off the heat as soon as it turns opaque and flakes easily with gentle pressure.
